J.G.Hall 1954 162 May 16 Sagehen Creek, 3 mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co., Calif. ground squirrel & Williamson's capsucker. Heard nut. quail saw several jays above V. colony the ford. Upper colony 9:15. Asp not yet in leaf up here though they were below. Willows in small leaf. Marking schedule D | X | L 1 | III | 2 | I | 3 | II III | 4 | III | 5 | III | 6 | II | 7 | I | 11 | I | 12 | I | 15 | I | Good deal of cutting about 75 yds below lodge & on N side about where I camped last summer. Many of stamps cut 3' off ground when snow was fairly deep. Main pond high with a new dam between photo tree & lodge & has diverted quite a stream around N side of lodge so it is now surrounded by water; seems in good shape. On S shore opposite the dam which is one up from where I caught the two beaver is a pile of dead sticks close to water's edge. Conceivably could be caved-in repaired bank burrow. Left 10:45. Below main camp near deer-hunter's fisherman's camp where stream is right next to road a 5
