Hall 1952 Sagehen Creek, Nevada Co., Calif. 21 June upstream, turning south to fol- low what seemed to be the main flow, though many tribs join in & with the dense growth & split channels of main stream, make it a tough decision. Lots of aspen in very stick stands, but not con- centrated on stream borders. More fir than below, some tremendous cleanothus. Upsols of much more clingomapsin. Wonder if beaver would work up this high clingomapsin got so thick that we started back about 3. Followed the road most of the way back instead of the stream. It turns into abandoned RR bed after a while. Clisumps in amongst the ties. Redtail soaring way north over top of the ridge. Saw + heard warbling vireo (we think). At trestle where RR swings away in North to cross a trib I cut south following the trib to the sheep-shed meadow, Betty followed ties & we met a little East of the meadow. Got back about 4:20. Weather in AM was hazy, gradually clearing up by noon & continuing
