Gapus
jumped in amongst boulders, grass and
dead asp. stumps of sample C, 12' from
shore. Left 3:30 PM. Roadside colony 9:10am

Weather cold (40°), hazy. Commotion in some
pools just below the first dam & downhill
from stump of log where camera was
cached. Saw two 10" trout (browns)
chasing in and around this pool whose
bottom is silt-covered. Next to clump of
sedges was a circular area of gravel which
had evidently been fanned free of silt
