June 26 Sage Hen Creek, 3 mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co., Calif.
hike up the western-most meadow
opposite main camp. Saw lots of
marmot dens where big old lpcs
have fallen over; can almost pre-
dict now where to find their
seats. Good spots for some pictures.
Surprised some deer in the
timber and three snow plants.
Weather again clear & balmy all
June 27 day. Lower colony 10 AM. Saw green-
tailed towhee on way, perched in small
Jeffrey standing in field of Wyethia.
About 6' off the ground. Rest of mom-
ing continued marking used aspen+
completed practically all those on
the N shore. Marking schedule below:

just before lunch I checked
below dam briefly and
there does not appear
to be a noticeable in-
cutting crease in activity here.
However, there was one
area in that section
I didn't get to so
