J.G. Hall 1953 94 June 7 Sagehen Creek, 3mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co, Calif. rounded track leading slightly uphill from water & ending about 6' in a little depression 1' x 1', partly gnawed out of two old dead logs, one of which is burnt. Couldn't remember or couldn't see my mark for fisherman's tree (?) so remarked it twice. It is 17 or 18." 2 deer. Left 11:40, weather clearing but still v. windy. Upper Rockslide 12:30 PM. 6" asp on rockslide winter cut about 12' off ground & since has been girdled at ground level !! Never saw beaver do this before so photographed at You f11. Also took shot of U. rockslide lodge & one of general area'so f 16. June 20 Arrived main camp about 5:30. weather perfect. Bob H + I marked out one of his trap lines in meadow after supper. White-crowned sparrows, juncos & cassinis finches. R.c. kinglets, pewees & blue sided flycatchers. Nightthrulls put on good booming displays for us. Of a pair, apparently only one (the ?) does booming. Don saw U. rockslide beaver in
