J.G. Hall 1953 89 June 6 Sagen Creek, 3 mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co., Calif. Facing slope, down to stream in bare spots on N-facing ones. Mole workings numerous, chipmunks & ground squirrels active, R.c. kinglets, white crowned sparrows singing also chip- pies & fieldings heard. Occasional light breeze. Beaver have been cut- ting some asp whids extends from above road to creek: Aspen ROAD A picnic table stream N < Deadfall at "A" had evidently been cut by Glen or al into 8'-10' sections & threw across the road. Beavers have trimmed some of these and have also cut 3 large aspen grow- ing between the road + stream, 2 six-inches and one four-inchers. One of the six-inchers has been broke off, the other one & the four-incher
