Table of marking diam x A x L 1 |||| 2 ||| 3 ||| 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | Aug 31 9:50 AM climbed the sharp knob just NE of Highway 89 where it crosses Sagehen. This knot is fairly steep but view from top commands most of Sage- hen drainage. Bearing from top to grove of trees on gravel slide N of Hoffmann's lawn to is 277° but rocks are magnetic. Fox sparrows in Ceanothus, others also. Arrived Lower Colony 10:40. Much new cutting at small ponds W of main pond & on other side below main pond & above it. Surveyed till 12:50 for Heckman. Weather crazy. Flush'd 8-10 quail just below road pond. Sept 2 Lower Rockslide Colony 6:05 PM. King- fisher perched in a snag up from S end of blasted dam, then rattled & flew downstream. I sat in twin pines. 6:20 Kingfisher lit in top of "Joe's Old", rattled up to beyond
