Journal Hefner, m-s. 1976 Concord Contra Costa Co., 400 ft. California January Dave Hefner, Ken Raney, and I returned to Indian midden site. We sifted and dug all day - but weren't too successful. We found the dentary (only half) of a cricetid (probably Reithrodontomy's), part of a human dentary with very worn molars and 4 beads. The beads actual size were remarkably well made: [image] (made of bone) We, again, picked up many bone fragments for later identification. 1700 returned home. January Mt. Diablo, 2 mi.
