again to the permit office and picked-up our
permit to collect Macrogeomyx and Heteromys.
1115 we got fuel for the car - again, very
expensive - and headed out of town on the
main highway toward Cartago. We drove
through Cartago then headed NE on the
road toward Volcán Irazú. We drove
approximately 10 km. from Cartago through
areas of farming and cattle grazing to a
point 7 km. N and 3 km. E Cartago
Prov. Cartago, Costa Rica.

steel (or pedal) traps
a single trap). We then drove about 300 meters
further up the road and set 2 more sets.
