Journal Hefner, M.S. 1978 20 June 7.5 mi. N, 1 mi. E Santa Rosa, Guadalupe Co., New Mexico [cont] I'm fairly certain of this identification except that the left incisor had 2 grooves and the right only had 1 (as in Pappos!). I took blood / tissue and habitat shots and returned to the mistel. 1000, after breakfast we headed SW on Hwy 54 then west on 60 to Hwy 25. We then headed south to Deming and west to Tucson, Arizona (arrived 1800 local time). We spent a relaxing evening in Tucson after a nice swim. Great Mexican meal, too. 21 June En Route Tucson, Arizona to San Diego, California 0900 departed Tucson and drove west to Yuma. Extremely hot day. We called Aunt Gladys and Uncle Ken Grubagge in San Diego to "warn" them of our arrival this evening. The drive from Yuma, Az. to El Centro, California was extremely uncomfortable, but we managed. Finally, 1700 arrived in San Diego! We stayed until 24 June, at which time we drove north to home.
