Journal Hahner, H.S. 1977 3.5 km. N, 1.5 km W Hotzoronogo, 370m., Veracruz, México 11 August (con '4) set 50 traps in a grove of large coffee trees (covered with bromeliads) on the right (east) side of the road just along the river's edge. (about 3km. N Hotzoronogo). The ground was somewhat bare, but had a spare "lawn" of annual grass. The trapline paralleled the river and those traps set right along the river were set near thickets of vegetation (= Set 1) We set another 50 traps in the jungle-like overgrowth of an old coffee-banana grove to the west of the road about 4 km. N of Hotzoronogo. There was a dense overstory of growth as well as a dense growth of vines and grasses on the ground. (= Set 2) We set another 50 traps in the native jungle at the above locality just about 50 m east of the road where the mountain slopes begin. The canopy is extremely heavy and the undergrowth dense. Numerous rocky outcroppings. (Set 3) an additional 50 traps were set in the open grassland between 2 sugar cane fields adjacent to the native jungle of Set 3). The grassland consisted of Mimosa
