Main road large, cleared field; rocky, Old Cleared field bank (50) Trap line Seasonal Wash fence plowed field Concrete slab crossing wash Trapline (50) fence Hills (dense vegetation) 20 traps The vegetation is basically thorn forest - moist, for the most part, with patches of annual grasses. Many Acacia, etc. The soil is sandy with many rocks (river rocks) in most parts. 2000- Prepared for sleep. Many, many insects around - numerous interesting beetles, large Cicadas, many moths. 2100 There was now much thunder and lightning to the NE and we felt occasional sprinkles, so we covered our cots with the large ground cover. The rain was short lasting, and we had a fairly restful sleep. We heard numerous frogs. The cloud cover persisted throughout the night.
