The vegetation is basically thorn forest - moist,
for the most part, with patches of annual grasses.
Many Acacia, etc. The soil is sandy with
many rocks (river rocks) in most parts.
2000- Prepared for sleep. Many, many insects
around - numerous interesting beetles, large
Cicadas, many moths.
2100 There was now much thunder and lightning
to the NE and we felt occasional sprinkles,
so we covered our cots with the large
ground cover. The rain was short lasting,
and we had a fairly restful sleep.
We heard numerous frogs. The cloud cover
persisted throughout the night.
