Journal Hather, M-S. 1977 4 mi. SE (by road) Migrino, 90m., Baja California Sur, Mexico. 15 July (cont) black stripes. The snake moved extremely fast and was about 4 to 5 feet in length. I noted several leopard lizards today in the sandy wash areas. We spent most of the day preparing specimens in the scorching sun. Had a watermelon for lunch. 1830 Drove to set traps. Set out 100 traps in 2 lines (50 each) in the sandy wash just north of camp (about 3.5 mi. SE (by road) Migrino). We set out the other 100 traps in the sandy wash very close to Migrino. Pacific Ocean large sandy wash (Candelaria Arroyo) xxxx = lines of 50 traps Migrino (Tijuana) N approx 1 mi. 2200 Retired early this evening, quite tired after a very hot day.
