Success: 7/100 We were very disappointed with the lack of pocket mice (for today and the entire trip thus far). We kept the Ammospermophilus specimens and the pocket mouse for later karyotyping. 0800 we returned to Santa Rosalia, bought supplies, got fuel and air for the tires, then returned to the motel where we finished preparing specimens. There had been a fair amount of maggot damage to our skins from S. El Rosario, but the hot sun today cleared that problem. 1300 departed Santa Rosalia and drove S on Hwy 1 through Mulegé, Loreto and Villa Insurgente to Ciudad Constitución.
