The ocean was a very pleasant change after
the heat of the previous days. There was
a foggy cloud cover and a moderate
breeze from the west. There were abundant
remains of fish, abalona, lobster, crab
and some cetacean and penniped remains.
We found found a total of 4 Placa
skulls (2 in very good shape) and
2 Zalophus (?) skulls (1 in very good shape).
We also noted numerous whale ribs and
vertebrae.
We trapped all day long at this locality,
and, as usual, pulled quite a few gophers
in during the AM and very few there after.
John had much better luck than I and
pulled-in the majority of specimens. We
