2030 we drove to a rocky knoll with a
nearby spring. As it got darker we watched
for bats - none came so 2130 we retired.

0530 awoke and drove to check traps.
In the dry wash (1) we captured:
5 Dipodomys peninsularis
1 Perognathus sp. (arenarius?)
success:
=6/50
In the rocky hills area we took:
1 Neotoma sp.
1 D. peninsularis
1 Peromyscus sp.
Success:
3/50
In the sandy flats we took:
1 Neotoma sp.
1 Dipodomys peninsularis
2 D. merriami
success:
4/50
The rocky hill area (2) was vegetated
with Ocotillo, Cholla, Idria, Cardon
and Butsura among other plants - the
total community suggested a cactus-rock garden
