Baja California Mexico.
6 July (cont)
rocky knoll north and east of Colonia Guerrero
(S and W of Mission Santo Domingo). We
spent the rest of the afternoon writing-up note,
drying skins & skulls and just relaxing. I
tried to key-out some of the vegetation, but
was fairly unsuccessful using LP's "Flora
Mexicana" (Many of the Baja California plants are
not included in the Flora).

Rathbunia cactus - rather sparse, rocky
habitat - much rodent activity. We noted
several woodrat nests in the area; nests
were built of Cholla piles.
2000 - drove toward Mission Santo Domingo and
set traps (100) in a sandy wash 2.4 km west
of the mission. The vegetation was basically
Artemisia tridentata with another dominant [some Ephedra]
looking much like Artemisia californicus -
