El Faro la Joyita Baja Sonora Penecate california. Mtns. <-- 25 mi. --> I didn't mention that we changed money in San Luis - the rate is 22 pesos to the dollar. Very good rate - We bought some canned fruit nectar in San Luis (very good) then continued on our way. 1600 - encountered sand dunes near road about ~30 miles south of El Faro. Camped in a rocky canyon adjacent to Hwy 5 and set out exploring for bats in the nearby crevices. Found none. Extremely hot day. We set-up the tawning and tried to nap - very uncomfortable. 1800 - drove to set traps. Set 4 lines of 50 traps each in the following habitats:
