Calm, clear, cold night. ½ moon most of night. 2 Microdipodops megacephalus 1 M. pallidus 1 Microdipodops ? (may be hybrid) 1 Peromyscus maniculatus 5/300 = < 2% success locations of actual trapping sites for each animals are in Catalogue. Emily was running a fever (ca. 104°) so we decided it best to head back. 1045 - Departed contact zone. Warm and windy. Hit heavy winds around Warm Springs. (Approx. 40 mi. SW of warm springs on Hwy6, we noted a large buck Antilocapra run across the thry and up a canyon - large horns!.) Very strong winds all the way home - a very tiring drive. -- so appropriate end to a rather unsuccessful trip.
