Journal Hafner, M.S. 1977 6 mi. N, 31 mi. W Hiko, 4800 ft. Lincoln Co., Nevada 25 March (cont) 0900 - Snow cover is now melted-off. 4°C temp. Breezy, cool day - on-off light snow. Barry and I walked toward the lake - found an un-used Coyote burrow in the side of one of the larger sand dunes. We flew the "outdoor balloon"- (5.5 ft. diameter, 87 cu.ft. of helium). (caught by tail, so I brought it back for zoo. 107 lab.) No more snow this night. 6 mi. N, 31 mi. W Hiko, 4800 ft. Lincoln Co., Nevada 26 March 0700 awoke and checked traps. - NO CAPTURES!
