Nevada 19 September (cont) Microdipodops captures for 18-19 September: Mp Hm Mp Mp Mp Small dry lake areas Mp Mp Mp Hm Hm Mm Hp Mm 0.5 mi. total Captures (Micros) = 9 M.P. 8 H.m. || thurs 25 17 2 live. 0900 drove west on Hwy 25 to Hwy 6. Then North to Sandy Pass = 10 mi. N, 15 mi. E Warm Springs, 6000 ft. Nye Co., Nevada. I have purposely reversed the N and E to put them in correct order (see 27 March 1976). 1030-1530 Prepared specimens. There appears to be an interesting asynchrony between the species of Micros insofar as the mega ?? appear to be in reproductive condition while the pallidus ?? do not. 1600-1900 set out 358 Museum Specials and 2 live traps as per the map on the following page. I purposely placed the trap lines so as to cross thru both the Artemisia dominated and the Chrysanthemum dominated habitats. 1900-all's dark now. Pin out specimens, write-up journal and set alarm for 2300 to check traps.
