Journal Hofner, U.S. 1976 6 mi. N, 31 mi. W Hiko, 4800 ft. Lincoln Co. Nevada 19 September (Results (cont) of 0100 trap check): (cont) NE line: 1 Dipodomys 1 P. longimembris 0200 moonrise. [Micro number MSH 683 ♂ was captured at NW 45] set: was caught in a grassy area amidst open sand. 0230 slept. cold night - still- clear. 0700 arose and re-checked traps; Results: NW line = 0 SW line = 0 SE line - 1 Microdipodops (live, later dead) NE line - 1 Onychomys torridus [The Micro. number MSH 688 ♀ was captured at site SE 4B which was in a small lake bed.] Apparently - little or no activity occurs after moonrise. 0800- Picked-up all traps in preparation for trip to Sandy Summit. 0900 departed site and head west on Hwy 25 - General map of Valley: Belted Range Queen City Summit N Worthington Mtns. Dry lake 3.4 mi. original 3 trap lines 5.9 mi. Coyote Summit Nye Co. Lincoln Co. (not to scale)
