0200 moonrise.
[Micro number MSH 683 ♂ was captured at NW 45]
set:
was caught in a grassy area amidst open sand.
0230 slept. cold night - still- clear.
0700 arose and re-checked traps; Results:
NW line = 0
SW line = 0
SE line - 1 Microdipodops (live, later
dead)
NE line - 1 Onychomys torridus
[The Micro. number MSH 688 ♀ was captured at
site SE 4B which was in a small lake bed.]
Apparently - little or no activity occurs after
moonrise.
0800- Picked-up all traps in preparation for
trip to Sandy Summit. 0900 departed site and
head west on Hwy 25 - General map of Valley:
