Map of trapping locality in Davis Mtus.: Bakers contact -> O zone here N our trapping locality 1 mi. to Ft. Davis. 1900 - Drove through El Paso to Las Cruces. Heavy thunderstorms in the NW skies. Ate dinner in Las Cruces then headed west (thwy 80) for Deming. About 30 miles (10') east of Deming we drove into heavy thundershowers. 2300 Drove through Deming to approx. 15 mi. W Deming where we turned off onto the old thwy (which parallels the new thwy) and headed east. We attempted to locate natural vegetation in hopes of setting traps for Perognathus penicillatus - one of JLP's old localities.
