Other large J. depeana and J. monosperma
within 10 M. radius. Mod. size oaks and
walnuts within 12-15 Metrs. Burrow depth = 150 mm
#16 level - northern end of large clearing. Sparse
annual veg. Mod. dense veg. otherwise. Few to
many Plant A to 0.6 M. Few thistle H to
0.76 M. Very few Cholla "Tasajo" (Opuntia
spinosisor). to 0.6 M. Burrow depth 130 mm.
large J. depeana within 15-25 M away - no
other trees nearby. Walnuts & Pines in distance.
#25 level - small clearing 15 M from road cut.
Dense veg. Many Plant A to 0.5 M and Many
Plant B to 0.6 M. Fairly dense annual cover.
Burrow depth 160 mm. Large J. monosperma
within 10 M. Large Pines and walnuts within
15-20 M away.
#27 - level - 3 M from road cut. Very dense veg.
Much vine (Plant J) and much Plant A to
0.75 M. Dense annual cover. Large (dead)
Ponderosa 6 M away. Large J. depeana within
15 M. Few. Bar G to 1.2 M. Burrow depth
40 mm.
1630 - Drove to "large meadow" locality and
took ecological measure for the 2 animals
captured there 12 August.
