(A) and (B). 6 M from small Pines ponderosa; 4 M from very small (1.5 M) Juniperus deppeana, #11 - level ground on "island" between fork in creek. Dense veg. Many Plant (A). Sparse very annual lawn. Few thistle (G). Small Juniperus 5 M away 1.5 M tall. Burrow depth ~120 mm. #26 - on small bank ~8 M from creek. Bank almost barren, but fairly sparse veg. on level area between bottom of bank and creek. refers to Bar locality Burrow depth ~50 mm. Few Bar (G) plant, Many Plant (B) and (A). Fairly sparse annual carpet. Large Pines and small locust within 15 M. Top of bank densely veg. as above (#11) #12 - slight slope 5 M from creek edge. Very sparse annual carpet. Sparse veg. otherwise. Very few Plants (A) and (B). Few small locust (Robinia) within 5 M (to 5 M tall). large Pine 10 M away. 5 M from road cut, Burrow depth ca. 30 mm. #15 - fairly steep bank ca 40 M from road cut. Mod. sparse dense veg. Small pines within 6-10 M of hole - otherwise no trees. - large Pines and Oakes 20-30 M away.
