13 August
0700 awoke in Carizozo, had breakfast, and
drove via Nogal to Ruidoso. Set gopher
traps as below:

(School) = 0.8 mi. S, 2.7 mi. E Ruidoso, 6500 ft.
(Hills) = 1.0 mi. S, 3.7 mi. E Ruidoso, 6700 ft.
(Bar) = 0.3 mi. S, 3.8 mi. E Ruidoso, 6400 ft.
We checked and rechecked traps all day.
I caught 1 gopher at the School site. We
left the traps out for the night. Later, we
went to the "Bar" and whooped-it-up till
late. 2400 made camp in the National
Forest Camp Ground just Northeast of Ruidoso.
