After setting traps near the creek, we drove about another mile further north on the Nogal canyon road and set 8 sets (=16 traps) in the large meadow to the west of the road. See exact locality below ("Meadow locality").

We noted a group of semi-feral pigs as we passed near the creek- they had the brown fur -and lean, rugged look of wild pigs, but no tusks yet.
1400 we returned to the "creek locality" (above) and captured 5 gophers as noted at localities 1 three 5 on previous page.

We checked the "Meadow" locality sets, but had no captures. We pulled the traps from the "Creek" locality and drove north on the dirt road to the farmhouse located
