Hafner, M.S. 1976 Mojave, 3100 ft., Kern Co., California. 11 July (cont) Trapping results (cont): Sui N. Mojave. South Line (47 traps): 5 D. merriami 1 N. lepida 2 A. leucurus West line (46 traps): 4 D. merriami 1 D. panamintinus 3 P. longimembri's 1 P. maniculatus North line (50 traps): 1 P. maniculatus 5 D. merriami 3 D. panamintinus 1 P. longimembri's Total Success: 35/93 = 18% I was disappointed not to catch any P. formosus (for sperm and reprod. tracts) nor any O. torridus (for vocalization studies). 0800 I returned to Mojave. We relaxed (and swam) and slept most of the day (~105° F). Windy all day. 1700 Wind picked-up throughout the afternoon. I drove north from Mojave on Hwy 14 to Phillips Road where I turned east and drove.
