Mafuer, M-S. 1976 2 mi. E Searles Station, 9 mi. NNE Johannesburg, 3200ft. San Bernardino Co., California 10 July (cont) The O. torridus in the West line "sang" once as I approach the trap (about 0715 hrs.). 0800. We picked-up camp and departed to meet Fern and Rod Carraszczo in Mojave. 1200 Met Fern and Rod (and kids) in Mojave park and drove to California City. Had nice lunch in Park adjacent to lake. 1600. Rod et al. departed for L.A., Darcey and I returned to Mojave where we checked into the Mojave Motel ($10.00/night). 1700 Darcey and Emily went for a swim in the pool. 1800 I departed Mojave to set 193 traps at a locality 3 mi. N Mojave (the same locality I have previously trapped). I set the traps again in 4 directions from the road, that parallels the power lines. Drove back into Mojave and relaxed. Retired early. Windy all night - full moon. 11 July Mojave, 3100 ft. Kern Co., California. 0600 awoke and drove to trap site. 3 mi. N. Mojave, 3100 ft. Kern Co. California Results: East line 50 traps: 7 P. merviami 1 A. leucurus 2 N. lepida
