Trapping Success: 24/750 = 3.2% Micro's: 9/750 = 1.2% March (cut) 1200 Returned (from Tempiute mining building) to original locality (above). Set out 3 MacAbee Gopher sets near Hwy 25 just off the dirt road to the lake and 5 live gopher sets at intervals along the dirt road between Hwy 25 and old trap line #1. Set out snap and live traps along old trap line #1 as follows: lake small playsa old. trap line #1 live snaps live67 swap 12s live .99 snaps 100 = 100 ft. Total traps = 756 1400 Took vegetational density measures at random points on the East and West sides of the dirt road at each of the 3 old trap lines (see 25 March 1975). Collected plant samples. Warm day, somewhat windy, clear. 1500 - Checked gopher sets in valley: 1 Thommys bottae. Returned to camp and put-up skins until 2200. 2300 slept. March 6 mi. N., 31 mi. W Hiko, 4800 ft. Lincoln Co., Nevada. 0400 awoke to light, frozen rain. Arose and broke camp.
