22 November 0700 arose - had French Toast and sausage then
checked Chaparral line. Luiz Baptista
and his class (~8 people) from Occidental
College arrived late last evening on a "Natural
History Field Trip". His class went along with
me to check my set. (Of course) I had poor
results:
1 Reithrodontomy megalotis
1 Peromyscus maniculatus
Jee Reithro was deep into the chaparral.
The P. maniculatus was ~ 10 m from the
Chaparral - Grassland interface.
0900 checked gopher traps:
1 Thommys bottra (large ♂)
[no captures in the creek set].
Put up skins in the A.M. listened
to Cal-Stanford game in early P.M. Set
out 12 "Young" live squirrel traps near fallen
logs by barn (saw much S. beechyi
activity). 1600 checked squirrel traps -
no captures. Checked gopher traps - no
captures.
1700 - JVP and a few other people and I
set out 3 mist nets over a small water
hole near camp. Immediately after sunset
