Journal Hughes, m.s. 1975 Vicinity of Winnemucca, Humboldt Co, Nevada Valley Trigo Co, Calif for one night before 6 September heading back to Albuquerque. Ken and I (Cont) headed back to Pleasant Hill. Very warm trip home via Truckee, Sacramento and returning to Pleasant Hill. P.S - I received my Nevada permit. Good from July 1975 - July 1976. 16 Sept. Dear Mark: Here are the trapping localities. Sorry for the delay. Dave and I karyotyped all the Micros last weekend. Hard work for two days; we caryotyped about 50 Micros, all slides were fantastic! We took a cursory glance at them and found no more variation. We did catch 2 species at that one locality (NE Hot Creek); we have all 4 races of pallidas, that Nixon fellow turned out to be a pallidas. Sagehen Creek, 3.0 mi NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co, 6300 ft, California 17 October 17 October 1000 left MWE with mammalogy class and drove via Sacramento and Truckee then north on Hwy 89 to this locality. 1530 Set out 25 museum special traps, 5 Victor snap traps and 6 sets of Mocabe gopher traps. All snap traps were placed
