We enjoyed beer, beans, and bologna sandwiches.
2:30 we noted a weird light-colored spot in the
SW sky. It appeared high in the sky as a
light, foggy spot. We could see stars through
the spot. It was continually growing in
diameter until it covered about 1/5 of the
entire sky. It eventually faded away. We felt
that this spot was perhaps related to the atomic
test held in S. Nevada this morning. We
finally got to bed about 0:30. Beautiful,
clear night. We slept out on a tarp.

0:30 We continued S. on 140. Noted Golden
Eagle and Prairie Falcon once again. 10:00
arrived at Winnemucca localities and
checked traps with following results:
