We noted 1 golden eagle, 1 red-tailed hawk and several mourning doves. In Lone-tree Canyon we collected Uta stansburiana and Sceloporus occidentalis for a possible study into the ecological separation between the genera in the chaparral habitat. Actually no specimens of S. occidentalis were collected this trip, but J.T.H. had collected several on a previous trip. A total of 16 Utas were collected (and 18 total sightings).
Noted large ? Sparrows hawk on ??? south ridge of canyon. J.C.T. found the ?? night dentary of a pig (Sus scrofa) on the south hillside of Lone Tree Canyon. Found dentary of house cat (Felis) in ravine near Coral Hollow road on return to car. No sightings of Sceloporus this trip.
