16 April 1200 - Roland Henry (and Barron) and I left L.A. and arrived this locality ~ 1630. Slight rainfall as we passed through Mojave; Dark clouds remained over the Tehachapis. We set out 169 traps in 4 rows from camp.
Scattered barres, atriplex, and many dried stalks of Sosa "Squaws Cabbage" from a few seasons past. Light breeze ~ 50°F.
1830 - walked around and checked out several old mine shafts (vertical) - none too recent.
2030 - light rain - past fairly soon.
