Journal Hafner, M.S. 1975 26 March (cont.) Various locales N. of Wadsworth, Washoe Co., Nevada. Ternley (#12). We killed one froze several specimens and transfered all Microdipodops to jars for live return to lab. We then took these remaining traps (~100) and drove to a locality 1.5 mi. N. of Wadsworth where we set the traps in 1 line E of hwy. Fine sand, moderately sparse vegetation. We noted Sylvilagus, Coyote (Canis) and Dipodo- mys prints in the fine sand. 1930- Returned to motel. Slight snow during night. 27 March 1.5 mi. North Wadsworth, Washoe Co., Nevada 0830 awoke and drove to this locality. Checked traps with following results: 7 Microdipodops sp. (1 torpid) 7/100 = 7% success [These were believed to be M. megacephalus ambiguous but I believe were shown by JCH to be M. pallidus ?] We drove to the next trapping locality 7.5 mi. By road W. Nixon, Washoe Co., Nevada. Results: 1 Microdipodops sp. 1/100 = 1% success. Drove to locality W of Pyramid Lake: 5 mi. S.W. Sutcliffe, Washoe Co., Nevada.
