All temperature and relative humidity data for this trip are on following page. The night was quite cold with a very light breeze from the N.W. 23 February 11.8 mi. E. Boron, San Bernardino Co. 2500 ft. California 0700- arose and checked traps with following results: live: 5 Dipodomys merriami [3♂, 2♀] Snap: 1 Dipodomys merriani MSH 82 ♂ Success = 6/194 = 2% We noted much evidence of a Kit Fox having “checked our traps” for us during the night. i.e., droppings, tracks, urination. 1030 we broke camp and headed for L.A. The weather was beautiful, clear, sunny.
