Journal Hagner, M.S. 1975 9 mi E. of Boron, San Bernardino Co., 2500 ft. California. 17 January Dancey, Barron, and I left L.A. at 1830 and arrived at this locality ~2100. (see map.) The weather was quite cold (mid-20's F°) but wasn't bad as there was no wind. We set out 194 traps (all live) in the Atriplex - Larrea community. There were few signs of Dipodomys activity. Moon-set ~1030, Clear. 18 January 9 mi. E. of Boron, San Bernardino Co., 2500 ft. California. 0730 arose and checked traps with following results: 3 Dipodomys merriami 2♀♀, 1♂ Success = 3/194 = 2% Barron somehow got the ♂ out of its trap and killed it; so I put that
