Locality was more dense with numerous
patches of greenery (very low, however).
There was much rodent activity evidenced
by much surface diggings. The evening
was very cold (< 30° F) and it
remained calm all night. Clear sky.
12 January

We arose ~ 0400 and checked the
live traps at this locality with the
following results:
5 Dipodomys panamintinus (4 ♂♂, 1 ♀)
[all ♂♂ scrotal, ♀ vagina extremely swollen [wts. in]
2 D. merriami (1 ♂, 1 ♀)
[♂ scrotal, ♀ vag. closed] [wts. in lab. data]
7/200 = 3.5% success.
1 Dipodomys panamintinus escaped = 8 total
It was recorded as to whether an
animal was captured near a bush or
in the open [in lab. data].
