Hafner, m.s 1974 Journal 28 September (cont) 2 mi. E Searles Station, 9 mi. NNE Johannesburg, San Bernardino Co., Calif- orica, 3200 ft. "Camp I" among other lizards along the way, and I spotted a rather large Tortoise (Stephens) Ad 2.7 kg. Barry later measured and photographed the tortoise in connection with his project. 1700 We set 100 traps near camp in a semi-circle to facilitate checking each hour. The remaining 100 traps were set across the road (Trona Rd.) in the exact locality as 18 August 1974. These were checked twice during the night and all Dipodomyx and Onychomys were kept.
