Hafner, m.s. 1974 Journal 28 September (cont) 5.5 mi. &NE Johannesburg, San Bernardino Co., California, 3200 ft. [T 29s, R41E, SE 1/4 sec 23] "Camp 2" trapped in a sugurbal area on the perimeter of Cummings Valley. We captured: 6 Diprodontys agilis 1 Reithrodontmys (megalotis) We're not sure yet how this fits in with previous data, however we have yet many more apparently suitable locales to check. 1230- We proceeded into Mojave - along the way David collected a Bubo skull from a road kill east of monolith. We ate lunch in Mojave and proceeded to Camp 1. 28 September cont 2 mi. E. Searles Station, 9 mi. NNE Johannesburg, San Bernardino Co., California 3200 ft "Camp 1" (This will be my new locality, for camp 1) 1500 We arrived here and walked up to the Jepson diggings S of camp.
