[T29S, R41E, SE¼ sec 23] “Camp 2” 0700 we arose and checked traps with the following results: [I had checked traps at 0100 this morning and found that we had captured a D. panamintus which meant that D. merriami was not allopatric in this area as we had previously thought. This was rather depressing as we had already used one sample from a nearby area in our experimentation - There is still a possibility that the sparse habitat in which we trapped previously (30 August) does only have D. merriami - further trapping will only show - ] Results: 10 Dipodomys merriami 7 Dipodomys panamintus 18 Perognathus formosus 2 Peromyscus (sp?) eremicus?
