California 3200 ft [T29S, R41E, SE 1/4 sec 23] "Camp 2" This different trapping site is somewhat more densely vegetated - Larea are still small (~1 meter in height) and widely spaced. The moon was full or nearly so. We heard what appeared to be the hoots of a small owl (Sawwhat?) and a Great Horned Owl (Bubo) flew low overhead many times. (On the road main highway (14) about 1 mile N. of Mojave we had noted a kit fox (at about 8:30 (2030) this evening). 28 September 5.5 mi. ENE Johannesburg, San Bernardino Co. California 3200 ft.
