Nevada here - M. pallidus appears to be extremely habitat selective. 1130 We collected up gear and drove via Yerington to L.A. Although we had hoped for better microchipods captures this trip, John did increase his sample sizes for both species. I managed to get only 2 Anychomys leucogaster for my voice [illegible] analysis studies. 27 September 5.5 mi. ENE Johannesburg, San Bernardino Co. California, 3200 ft. T29s R41E SE 1/4 sec 23 "Camp 2" 2130 We arrived here with 100 live traps in an attempt to trap more D. meriamii that live in allopatry from D. panamintinae. We released a 50 animals that we no longer needed - (these were released ~400 Meters off Trona Rd. on the dirt road leading to this camp. (see map). We set the traps in a locality about 200-300 meters south of where we had set them 30 August 1974.
