Numerous coyote howls were heard throughout the night, being especially apparent around 0300. 1 Sept. Results other than 100 traps that were checked hourly: Live traps: 30 Perognathus longimembris 4 Dipodomys merriami 2 Dipodomys panamintinus success = 36/74 = 50% Snap traps: 6 P. longimembris 4 D. merriami 3 D. panamintinus 2 Peromyscus maniculatus success = 15/90 = 17% After breaking camp (~0800) we drove over to the locality where we had set the gopher traps - there were no captures, however
