2787 ft., Kern Co. California
We arrived here approx. 2000 and
proceeded to set ~75 traps at this
locality and ~115 traps (all live) at
locality "D" (see 7 July 1974). We purposely
chose settings near the large, dominant
shrub, ([illegible] chrysotamnus sp?), as we
have noted an apparent association
between Dipodomys and this shrub.
The evening was cool and a
gusty wind blew approx. half the
night. No moon.

0545 - Morning was calm and warm.
We checked traps at locality "D"
with following results:
40 Peromyscus maniculatus
14 Perognathus (inornatus)
9 Dipodomys panamintinus
5 ♀, 4 ♂
1 Neotoma lepida
1 Beithrodontomys (megalotis)
