Journal Hafner, m-s 1974 16 August 3.8 mi. N. of Mojave (near power lines) 2787 ft., Kern Co. California We arrived here approx. 2000 and proceeded to set ~75 traps at this locality and ~115 traps (all live) at locality "D" (see 7 July 1974). We purposely chose settings near the large, dominant shrub, ([illegible] chrysotamnus sp?), as we have noted an apparent association between Dipodomys and this shrub. The evening was cool and a gusty wind blew approx. half the night. No moon. 17 August 3.8 mi. N. of Mojave (near power lines) 2787 ft., Kern Co. California 0545 - Morning was calm and warm.
