Hafner, M.S. 1974 Journal 13 June (cont) Mason Valley, 27 km. S., 8 km. E Yerington, 1525 m., Lyon Co., Nevada. beers. They had lived their entire lives in the Yerington area and were full of "facts" as to local wildlife. We asked a lot of questions and got a few interesting answers. We finished setting out traps soon after sunset (9:00 P.M. approx.). We agreed to check traps at 12:30 in the morning and if we had captured at least 10 Microdipodops pallidus we would head home. 14 June Mason Valley, 27 km. S., 8 km. E Yerington, 1525 m., Lyon Co., Nevada. We arose at 12:30 in the morning (0030). The air was warm and calm. We captured exactly 10 Microdipodops pallidus and approx. 10 Dipodomys microps and approx. 20 Perognathus longimembris all but the M. p. were released. We broke camp at 0130 and headed for Los Angeles. Sunrise occurred at approx. 5:00 A.M. in Bishop, and we were home by 9:00 A.M. That evening Darcey, John, "Barron", and I left L.A. on our drive to Texas.
