8:00 AM. - checked all traps with
following results:
live traps
Snap traps
80 Perognathus longimembris.
2 P. formosus
7 Dipodomys merriami
4 D. panamintinus
1 Peromyscus maniculatus
1 Perognathus formosus
12 P. longimembris
1 Onychomys torridus
2 Dipodomys panamintinus

1 Thomomys bottae

The Onychomys was a pregnant ♀.
The Dipodomys were usually sub. ad.
about even numbers of each sex. Of
special interest was the Thomomys
(sub. ad ♂) - an apparent case
of dispersal - the nearest gopher
diggings as far as we know are
1-2 miles S.W. of trapping site.
The Perognathus were released, the
live Dipodomys returned to lab for
study. The remainder of the AM day was
spent collecting insects.
