We re- entered the mineshaft that contained the woodrat nest (Neotoma), but no activity observed. The wind carntinued throughout the day, high temp. appears. 70° F. We checked the nests from last trip - all young were gone (young hummingbirds (costa's) were in vicinity of nest). 3:00 PM. set 150 snap traps and 90 live traps as per map: Gopher diggings. Johannesburg WATER HOLES camp in "copper-colored" hills. Live traps set in sandy areas, w/ thick hydrophils - "(stickers)" -
