County, Calif. 2500'. from intersection w/ Jujunga Canyon Road (on Angeles Crest Highway). 3 Neotoma fuscipes, 5 Peromyscus sp. -> NOTE: 21 traps were apparently stolen. they were systematically removed, definitely not misplaced. So, actually only [illegible] 79 traps were checked: Success 17/79 = 21% These animals were given to brother John Hafner for the collection of Texas Tech. University. 29 Dec. (Burbank, Calif.) opposite entrance to De Bell Golf Course small brushy canyon. 300' L.A County, Calif. 3:00 PM. Darcy and A set 83 live traps and 10 snap traps in various sets up small canyon (200 yds deep.) 30 Dec. Small Canyon opposite entrance to De Bell Golf Course, Burbank, Calif. 7:00 AM John arrived here last night. We checked traps this morning catching only 1 Reithrodontomys sp. no explanation (results: 1/43 = 1% success) for poor catch
